National Robotics Competition 2021
The pandemic has limited our capability to gather. But it has not limited our ability to think, innovate and invent. We continue to bring excellent experience with science and technology during this lockdown period. Please be patient with our efforts and be part of it. We request all regions, provinces, cities and municipalities to join. Help us promote robotics. Help us spread the experience. One of our efforts is the Virtual Robot Games. We built 10 robots to be used on a Robot Rugby match. The robots and playing field will be setup in our HQ. Players can see it over ZOOM while others will see the games over fb live (or youtube). Every player will download a controller app from us or our partners. This controller app will send your commands to a server in HQ, which in turn sends it to your corresponding robot. The game of robot rugby will follow standard rules (see our rulebook) until we find necessary changes due to the virtual nature of the contest. After you register, your team will be scheduled to practice using the robots and playing field. If there are only few interested teams, we may opt to drop the project.
What about Robot SuMo? Only players who have successfully played in Robot Rugby will be invited for Virtual Robot SUMO. The test period will allow us to test our skill and connectivity. At the moment (14 Dec) we are still developing the tools needed to make this a success. God willing, all will be ready by Christmas day. Should there be changes in the schedule, all registered participants will be informed by Dec 22,2020 A second form (rules to be released soon) is the Minute-to-Win-it Robot series. A simple one-minute robot game which you can setup in your home and kitchen table. Do the task, record it on video and upload it on youtube. Prepare for the National Competition.
